The latest Assassin’s Creed title, Odyssey, was officially confirmed after developer Ubisoft posted a short video teaser on the series’ Twitter earlier today.
An image of an Odyssey branded keychain appeared on French gaming site JeuxVideo-Live today as reported by Polygon. Rumors of the game claimed the next installment was set in Greece since Ubisoft originally planned for a Greek setting to be included in Origins, but later decided to make it a standalone title.
Odyssey will be the series’ 11th mainline entry, following 2017’s Origins release, which took players to ancient Egypt. While the only information on the game is its title, the 300-like teaser sets a certain expectation about the game’s tone.
Ubisoft is expected to reveal more about Odyssey during their E3 presentation on Monday, June 11 at 1 p.m.
